I have noticed that the AAC is leaving the MWC in the dust regarding recruiting. I hope that UNLV will help put a fire under the ass of the collective MWC before we drop even further down the pecking order.

AAC Ranking of each school:

Cincinnati 52
East Carolina 66
UCF 67
Tulane 68
Houston 75
SMU 76
Memphis 77
USF 83
Temple 92
Tulsa 100
Connecticut 109
Navy 114

Average rating: 81.6

MWC Ranking of each school:
(the one positive is that most of the MWC schools have not received many commits as of yet)

BSU 62
UNLV 88
Air Force 95
CSU 103
SJSU 112
FSU 113
unr 119
Wyoming 120
SDSU 121
Utah State 123
Hawaii 127
New Mexico 130

Average rating: 109.41

The MWC is slowly moving towards a third tier when it comes to recruiting, and I just hope that they finish off much better on Wednesday when schools commit, but most likely the MWC top schools, with the exception of BSU would be middle of the pack in the AAC. 2nd ranked UNLV would be well below average in the AAC and would be ranked behind 8 of the schools in that conference in regards to the rank of the recruit commits.

We aren't left in the dust. We are so far enough behind we can barely see the dust.

Stars are indicators of high school performance. Quoted from Coach Peterson. As Otz says and I am sure Arroyo agrees with Coach Pete, you have to recruit heart and desire. Arroyo has hit South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Oregon, California, Utah. Bring on that Big 12 invite.

While stars aren’t foolproof, they are a good indicator of the overall talent of a prospect. For every diamond in the rough you get many who can’t walk and chew gum at the same time.

BSU outplays it’s rankings every year. Cincinnati will do the same. We have seen what being ranked 102 in recruiting gets us. It gets us ranked 102 at the end of the season.
