Halftime stats - McCord with 158 yds passing. Syracuse -13 yds rushing. Stanford with 132 yds rushing. Was reading comments on a Syracuse message board and the majority of their fans were not impressed with UNLV’s win over Kansas and are saying Syracuse should win easily by at least 20 pts.
Would rather they win of course, but completely one dimensional.
Stanford coach... wtf are you sitting zone on 4th and 8... take the holding next time...terrible decision leads to Syracuse getting the lead
Won't be ranked when they come to town.. still opportunity to go 3-0 vs P4 schools...
That sucks another team loses right before we play them. Syracuse D line did nothing Sluka should have all day back there a good game to ramp up our passing game.
Cuse screwed it up for a potential top 25 matchup in Vegas! That would have been a great first for us as well
Offensively their QB can sling it obviously.
They struggled a lot on defense though. Stanford pushed them around quite a bit especially in run game.
I had that chalked as a loss to start year. Now I think Rebs can hang for sure.
They also are very 1 dimensional... had like 30 yards rushing last night. And while McCord can sling it, he wasn't very good last night. He had a decent stat line but outside 1 big shot- 67 uard TD pass and the final drive (60ish yards passing) it was rather ineffective...
A big day by Woodard and team and they will have a long day for McCord!
Cuse fan here. We lost our AA LBer for at least until mid Oct. The coaches are juggling players. Our Defense was overall mid last week...DL is inconsistant. Tackling is suspect. Our QB McCord had his worst game of the season but still threw fir 300+ yards. Our OL was horrible...they should be better.
Skuka's old team Holy Cross this week then we'll see how we do vs UNLV. I'll be in Section 132 with 160 Cuse fans.
We no longer mention that name around here, LOL. Looking forward to the game...now we have a lot more questions on our end though due to the QB fiasco. Next man up though.

Yeah, I think he'll be okay, and at least he'll have a few days of practice to prepare to be the starter. FSU will definitely be a challenge though.
I suspect the team rallies behind Hajj this week and Fresno runs into a buzz saw...
It will be either that or the team will be shaken and we get waxed. No in between.
Hajj was also much sought after. He can run the ball too. I don’t think he has that top end speed of the recently departed guy; but we’re trading like 10% top speed to add 70% throwing ability. Lets not pretend the other guy could consistently make passes.
Hajj had a 70.5% completion rate his senior year at Campbell over 329 passes (61.8% career overall). He can air it out AND run. I thought Hajj would win the nod at the start of the season.

Just so our Syracuse visitors are aware, should the team hear that one of the programs calling around for our ex-QBs services is the guys with Orange helmets, no mercy will be shown.. and they will know.. there's a few rumors out there and someone is bound to trickle it out... Lol
