10 min into the game and UNLV has shot 3 from beyond the arc (1-3) while AFA has shot 10 (2-10). Really glad that CKK and his staff got the guys away from chucking up 3s all game. It means they’re actually attempting to run an offense.

Rebels won convincingly. Everyone played hard. Great game, we saw the potential of Hicks on display.

Defense. Rebounding. Points in the paint. “High percentage” 3s. Effort for 40 min. That’s how UNLV wins. Do that and they can beat anyone in conf, including SDSU. Take one of those ingredients away and they can be beat by anyone in conf.

There is no doubt in my mind that UNLV can play well enough to beat anyone in the conference, but they are light a herd of cattle, in the fact that once they start a stampede, you can never control them again.
