Line ‘em up: Predictions and Game Thread SDSU

Part of me wants them to take out the starters so no one gets hurt. And another part of me wants them to run the two minute offense with the starters all in the game and us up by 60.

I’m gonna sleep early.

Everyone is getting touches. Defense looks incredible.

It was a nice crowd, good to see fans rallying around them a bit more.

They still look pretty clueless inside the 10 yard line. Other than that, was pretty happy. We left 14 points on the field because we couldn’t punch it in from the one yard line on two occasions.

I know SJSU ended up getting blasted by Boise, but it was a tight game in the 4th. It’s going to be a tough game for the Rebels at SJSU.

Unfortunate we couldn’t pull out the Boise game. It would have kept the momentum going from a crowd perspective. Still, the crowds are consistently better than they’ve ever been. I’ve also noticed a nice mix of older alumni — older couples, families with legacy kids — as well as students and younger fans. The program is heading in the right direction, to state the obvious.

Is it me, or is officiating getting worse. I'm seeing so many horrible calls this year. Not just with UNLV, but across all off college football.
The thing that jumps out to me is it seems any aggressive play is unsportsmanlike …. The benefit of the doubt seems to tilt heavily on the side of an egregious act.

I’m sure UNLV has benefitted from it at times, but we had two costly ones this season.

But I noticed it before this season too, just moreso this season.

It's a result of the pussification of society in general.

Pretty crazy how much better the crowds have been. Late start and not much of a game, and we still filled most of the lower bowl with bodies.

Looking forward to the UNR game. Thanksgiving weekend doesn’t help a ton, but if we are 9-2 with CCG hopes still alive, should be a great crowd.
It takes time but keep playing well and even after a disappointing Boise loss people will go to games because they are good.

30k is pretty good. For reference that's better than approx. half of the English Premier League attendance. More than VGK. And probably 2x as much locals the Raiders draw to their shitty games. I know we see the LSUs etc with 80k+ but it's good to keep things in perspective.
Yep really look at our history for a better perspective and 30K is good for a game vs a sub .500 easy win game.

unr game still has a couple of weeks to sell tickets, and they have already sold at least a few thousand more than the SDSU game, my expectation is 40K plus if they win on the road. If CSU finds a way to lose one of the next two games before UNLV plays unr, then I could see 45K+.

I don't think the casual fan knows that we need CSU to lose or the importance of it. We'll get the same for UNR regardless if CSU loses on Friday or not.

My plan is to go to the UNR game and either take +4 or +10 depending if my sister and her family come down from Utah for Thanksgiving.

Did you see that horrible excessive call in the Titans/Vikings game yesterday? Vikings player is in the literal endzone about to catch a TD, he's hit immediately as he touches the ball and it's jarred loose. The hit was PERFECTLY legal and was the reason he didn't catch the TD. Flags came in from every angle for unnecessary roughness. It was 4th and goal.....new set of downs. What was excessive about that? They wanted him to use less roughness? If he uses less, he catches a TD on 4th and goal. It's terrible.

I'm not sure what the refs wanted the DB to do in that position

The NFL refs blow goats with these dumb ass penalty calls. Either that or the NFL does in making them enforce the rules in that way. Either way one of them is an expert in goat blowing.

The casual fans showed up in large numbers verse BSU because they understood the importance of that game in a national level. If CSU loses, they will understand that winning that game would put UNLV into the MWC championship game verse BSU.
