I am thinking that is still the PAC target. Sounds like they are hiring Michael Vick as their coach? Does he even have any coaching experience? Last year he was doing game day for the NFL.

Also, it says they have $50MM available for NIL. I wonder what period this is for? No way that is annual but they didn't provide a time period.

He's never coached a day in his life. I know who he should hire as his OL coach. Shorty Nihipali. His dad coached at Chap for like 25 years and he Shorty was his right tackle at VaTech. He's never coached either, but that didn't stop SacState

How do you know that, or is it just your opinion?
My opinion. Hiring big name former players without any coaching experience is a recipe for disaster. It worked for Sanders because he was already a big personality, but the competition that Sac St. will be facing moving into FBS will be much higher and better.

It could also work but how do you know if you don’t give it a chance? We hired a high school coach and many here were not thrilled including me at the time but he did get us facilities that put us on the map as far as colleges go. I’m not saying that will happen if he goes to Sac St but if he can get to a HBCU, who’s to say it won’t be good all the way around? The HBCU route was the only route for a few ex players who might not have got a chance otherwise. We all know black HC’s don’t get a fare shake as coaches and the HBCU’s are their only shot, shouldn’t they get that shot?
