Based on some reporting by Britt Anderson it appears UNLV is trying to bring Miller back in as associate HC (basically undue termination). This makes a lot of sense get a coach representing UNLV. But more importantly if you were going to hire Karl or Welch it would be a long time before either could recruit. First the head coach would need to be passed by the regents and secondly they would need to pass the rules test (there is a waiver process but it also takes a little time).

Miller is the obvious choice between him and Augmon just on how they handled themselves after the season. Not saying Karl is coming but this would make sense in that manner. It also makes sense in some way with Shoyer as well. Not so much for Menzies, imo.

If they can lock in someone like Miller or Augmon as an Associate HC, then we'll still have a chance at retaining our recruits and maybe even some of our players that are testing the NBA Draft waters. Regardless, something needs to be done fast. I highly doubt any of our recruits are going to sit around on their asses, waiting for TKM to make a decision.

I doubt it. We currently have zero coaches. And with how long the process takes to get a HC hired we need someone to be there for the time being at least.

If I had to choose between Miller or Augmon being on the next staff though, I would be totally behind Miller. He brings more to the table than Augmon does.
