Rough start in MWC play

1-5 to start the year. If Im not mistaken the only 2 schools that we play 2 series against TCU and UNM are the 2 schools that have beat us to make us 1-5.

Anyone have a feel for where we should finish in the standings? I know UNM had a terrible start to the year but then they just swept us. It seems other than TCU the MWC is absolutely horrible this year so maybe we can sneak in and grab 2nd or 3rd?

With expectations so high after the big wins to start the season, it is hard to see UNLV lose to a team at the level of UNM. But, with growth comes some pain, and I definitely see the team getting better which will really show up with all the recruits coming in next year.

As for the MWC being absolutely horrible this year, I really do not think the MWC has ever really been a decent baseball conference. If UNLV keeps improving, and Fresno St. coming in, there is a chance to put the MWC on the map.
