Not rooting for the PACK, rooting against CSU.
I'm watching UNM and Wyoming. 35 - 35 at the half. Both teams forgot that they need to play defense.
Reno have a bigger team. This is only the first half.

Well, not that it was going to matter because they’d have lost more along the way before facing us, but a motivational double whammy could have been UNR hurting our bowl strength and UNR having to play into bowl eligibility.
They’d still love to hurt our bowl chances … but not having a bowl to play for with it being the last game of the season, it could be more like … let’s get the season over with.
But they aren’t going to beat us regardless of the motivational combinations, so I guess it’s a moot point.

I tried to root for Reno for a few plays,, I got too frustrated. Too dumb and anaemic.
As each game goes by for CSU, it is more likely that they will be in the MWC championship game. Only FSU is favored over CSU in their final games. Having a team not lose would suck considering they would lose to UNLV by 40.
Reno got to the 2 yard line before end of 2nd quarter and looked like unlv inside the 5.
They still have Fresno at Fresno. You taking CSU in that game? I wouldn't.
I wouldn’t take CSU.
But we did beat Fresno by 80 something points, so we know the potential for total suckage is there.
And Fresno loses to Hawaii, which is probably good … because FSU will need all the wins they can get for bowl eligibility.
It only takes CSU having one good game all season to get to the MWC championship. Decades of UNLV bad luck always worries me!

CSU with the cake walk schedule to the MWC Championship Game. A bad Fresno team is probably our only realistic shot at them dropping one now.

Look at box score for Reno vs CSU. It's not like CSU was good. Reno just doing some Benny Hill crap out there.
It worries me that CSU is going to find a way to win out and go to the MWC championship game with a team that would lose to UNLV or BSU by 50. I hope Utah State or FSU state can step up and win, but I wonder if in the back of their minds is the thought that if CSU goes to the MWC championship game, then that is a win for the future PAC and a loss for the MWC?
Nah. Players have to much pride and most don't care about the outside stuff.
Leftover MWC teams have some motivation vs new PAC, but ultimately I don't think it matters. Tim Skipper at Fresno needs wins. He's the interim coach. Going 6-6 or whatever with team projected to win 8+ games isn't going to endear him to that fan base or administration.
Same situation for USU.
The PAC needs to get to an 8th team more than they need to worry about UNLV.
Our special teams are indeed special. We've won 3 games this year so we're playing with house money. Play Boise this week so . . .bad things, You await your most important game of the year, that being Fresno/CSU. Red headed bulldog it is. or slink back in the shadows
Credit to Reno they have played one of the toughest schedules in college football.
But have you guys really sunk so far that with 3 wins your playing with house money?
I do think Chode's press conferences are great crapping on the PAC...
The fact CSU somehow dodged UNLV and Boise this year is something special.
Really thought the Pack would bounce back and beat CSU.
