OT: OFF TOPIC Pre Med Applied Math Major looking for Summer Opportunity

Hey all… I hope this isn’t inappropriate to post this here, and if so I apologize…

My daughter is home from college for the Summer and looking for any opportunities that may be available to shadow someone in the medical field. A practitioner or lab… anything would be great.

She is an applied mathematics major on a pre-med track and just finished her sophomore year. She’s only ever gotten one B and that was in Statistics in her freshman year.

If you know of any opportunities your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

When I was reading their request, the first thing that came to my mind is that local spots in most cases would be reserved for students going to the local medical school, which would make it a lot harder for out of state students.

I’m out of the loop when it comes to patient care but I would recommend her taking a Certified Nursing Assistant Class at CSN.

Get the basics down on lifting, helping..

That will open up her eyes on patient care if she really wants to do that depending on what kind of doctor she wants to be..
