Pape is better than Bear

No idea where he will be playing but in his Junior year Pape will be special. 1. Tall. 2. Can actually catch a ball. 3. Has a decent three point shot. 4. Good timing on blocks. 5. Avoids fouls. 6. Can RUN the court.
He needs to put on about 30 lbs. , and develop some moves under the basket.
Cherry hurts himself with unnecessary fouls.

It’s coaching, I get it, but a lot of the players recruited here seem to have major deficiencies in their game!
Players are bad to mediocre. Roster construction is very poor. System is rancid.
Is this a surprise to anyone? It’s been like this for day one and there hasn’t been any urgency, just stubbornness to adapt. That’s one bad trait he got from his father, inflexibility.

Not a surprise. I remember the hype with Bear. Same with Rob.

Inflexibility and incredibly averse to risk and the mere hint of excitement. I hated that about Lon too.
wasting away DJ… finally got a pg who wants to run the floor and you’ve got a HC who pulls back the reigns because he has no offensive identity. The Thomas’ have gotta be livid, not a chance he’s here next year. What a waste
He can’t revive the program by himself … we keep recruiting him the top players from 24 hour fitness.
As I recall Joel Anthony was quite a project that needed to redshirt a year to develop. I maybe wrong as Iam getting old & it was a long time ago.

But these guys we have in the middle now are never going to be as dominant as he was in year 2!
Not sure about that, I like Pape. He has an aggressive offensive nature that just needs some refinement, he seems to have a knack for rebounding and he has what can't be taught. 7'0" with long arms.

Team toughness stems directly from the coach. Regardless of the talent coaches like Bobby Knight and Greg Marshall always fielded teams that were tough as nails.
Does it really matter who is better than who considering coach Kruger has shown he would be unable to win with a team of McDonald All Americans?
I like Pape and i would like to retain him. I think he will become a very good player. Byt i dont think we will see anybody nack next year. I am expecting a complete roster turn over with the new coach coming in. The 3 maybe 4 players i would like to keep i think will leave and the rest will be shown the door. I just hope the new coach is hired very quickly after Kruger is dismissed so to guve him a chance at landing some good players
The only shot with Pape, is that he is kind of local coming from Trinity. IMO it will come down to NIL.
