Pac 12 Official statement on expansion

I was thinking the same thing. The first 2 schools, however, do have great academics and very good Olympic sports, so who knows.

Don't forget the most important part of adding Cal and Stanford. Is adding another Top 10 TV market #6 to go along with #2 with USC and UCLA! Which would essentially give them 5 of the Top 10 TV markets in the U.S. #1 NY, #3 Chicago and #4 Philly. No wonder they get more TV money than the Special Education Conference

If it is based on TV markets, a good move by the SEC would be to pick up the southwest and So Cal market by going after Houston, SDSU, Baylor, etc. I would like to see UNLV in the mix, the market is big enough, but the football program is still struggling. I did like another big time pick up out of Rutgers today which gives more hope for UNLV to have a winning season! Having a winning season has become urgent for UNLV!

What is funny is watching all of the Boise State fans doing all they can to tell everyone that UNLV sucks in sports. Could that be because they had a really shitty year in football? Could it be because UNLV recruiting in football is now fairly close to being on par with BSU (considering the transfer portal recruits are highly rated)? Could it be because they have a small TV market? The only thing they can bring to the plate is a good football team which would be lucky to win half their games if they had to play top level teams every week instead of 2-3 times a season? What would they bring financially to a major conference? NIL? etc?

imo, get on social media accounts over the months to come, even if just "Yo they should look at UNLV!". May not do much, or anything at all, but at the end of the day there is nothing wrong with planting some seeds as fans and hope they grow in hopes of generating a little smoke. End of the day, the powers that be are all human so...never know what might influence. If you know any nifty or neat facts, Hell toss that out there too. I mean we all do it here daily, why not spend 30 seconds a day on the twitterverse?
