I know he didn’t mean it this way, but implied we need to keep Odom’s daughter from dancing on the strip….and then said last week at the Raiders game he left his box to go down amongst “the people.” How out of touch is this guy?

He made a stupid comment that I am sure he regretted the minute it came out of his mouth! "How out of touch is this guy?" The average person that I know, and many of them are high end developers, and professionals, make stupid comments all the time, and nobody really cares.

The dance quote was stupid.

Saying you come “down” from your Suite to be amongst the people is beyond stupid.

Well, the good news is there aren't any strip clubs on the strip. Yeah, that was super awkward--his daughter is like 8. As a relatively awkward guy, I remind myself why I don't take positions that require public speaking.
There are plenty of shows on the strip that does not have any nudity. I think he was implying as a dancer in the PG rated shows.

Of course there are..;.in fact there's fewer topless reviews now then there used to be...but when I was a kid someone said 'your mom is a dancer on the strip' they weren't talking about the Jabbawockies.. And if it was a PG show, why would we have to keep the kid away? That's wholesome entertainment, right?

I don't think he meant any harm by the statement, but it just came off was super awkward and I think there's context there that show that Mr. Whitfield might not be from here.

Now if he said on Industrial or Polaris, I think we should riot.

Alright I agree he screwed up on the daughter joke bad bad bad. He sounded like he knew it was going off the rails but he couldn't save it. However, "coming down with the people" I have no problem with. I know what he was saying, it's like hanging out in the bleachers at Wrigley. He just wanted to hear unsolicited feedback Furthermore I always like speakers when they say good morning to have some energy he's always on point with that. He's a nerd he basically confessed to it let it slide.
