I won't pretend to know guys that make sense for the staff who are potentially realistic, so....

Who do we want of potentially realistic candidates for assistant coaching staff?

I haven't given it much thought yet, but I saw someone on Twitter mention Justin Hawkins. That would be a nice hire, currently at Pacific as video coordinating coach, so maybe he could get a spot on staff her in the same capacity. Familiarity with the systems in place, environment, probably a decent in for recruits in SoCal and across points across Cali, Nevada, and Arizona that maybe Otz doesn't have a huge footprint in. Hawkins' AAU club ties as a player don't hurt (Compton Magic?). Not sure how he'd be as a coach, but I loved his defensive game as a player, so all the dots connect in my opinion.

I think the obvious is that Coach TJ hopefully reaches out to former Menzies staff member Preston Laird. He was very valuable in recruiting and could bridge the gap between the new staff & the players. He is a bright young coach who name has appeared on several up & coming coaches under 25 lists. Ryan Miller got him the position with Coach Menzies and he is loyal to Marvin but if he doesn't coach this year Preston will have to move on & he would be an asset to the staff.
