Finally a fired up, angry CKK at the half. It took 3 years but good to see some emotion and passion. Let’s see if he can instill in the team for the second half.

How come no Whaley? To me our best lineup is with him and Bear out there.

And yes, what is the deal with Evans as the cannot be as bad as the raw freshman big man that is getting minutes?

We have a bunch of just decent players outside of dj, bear, and swishrain. But we do not have 2 legit p5 guys like the Boone brothers were last year.

We had a 13 point lead and let their shooter bomb from 3 with no defense near him and the lead vanished. I looked up Omahas other games and Omaha lost a close game to minnesota who is supposed to be in lower part of big 10. Unless we improve a lot, that middle of the pack predicted finish looks accurate.

This team looks average as hell. I don’t see anything on the floor that strikes me as something we can hang our hats on. Going to be a very “meh” season if this continues…

Free throws (+11) and steals (+8) were the difference in the game and countered Omaha’s 3-pt shooting (10-28 v. UNLV’s 4-18).

That was some just bad basketball. We out talented them on some plays. But Omaha is severely limited. KK Sweet 16 team would of beaten them by 30 plus easily. I dont like the substitution patterns. Never get into a flow. Maybe that was the main issue??? Maybe he is still trying to find the best lineup???

I wish there had been some sort of urgency in the offseason. With recruiting, with some sort of philosophical change … something. Because it seriously looks like the same things. Recruiting similar, even the new signees … the product, its the same plays, same MO, same defense. They weren’t at all effective before and the talent hasn’t been significantly upgraded. Just replacing faces and doing the same things.

It’s very bland, very uninspiring. It’s watching the same boring movie over and over.

Recruiting is worse. No way does this team have the talent of last years team. We do have better depth this year is only positive.

I love KK and will never forget what he did for the program in 06-07.

But it is clear that he is not working out as head coach.

It’s unfortunate because he really had no business being hired as HC in the first place. Extremely under qualified at the time and DRF hit the easy and cheap button picking him. He took the opportunity so it’s on him, but he really was put in a position to fail.

I hope he proves me wrong the rest of the year, but based on last night, I doubt it.

Evan’s is redshirting

I have never been so disinterested in BB in the last 30 years. FB is helping ease the pain. We were vastly superior last night. Like night and day. We should of won by 20 plus easily. I am not saying we are TOP 25 or even close to it. Im just saying we are under preforming with the talent we have. Players do not look well coached. IMO. I think we could of gotten the same results with Menzies. We struggle the last 3 years to put bad teams away. Seems like when we play scrappy teams it our Kryptonite. We dont have that killer instinct.

We all know that DRF is just a sleaze using her ethnicity and gender for a 7 figure salary on the back of an absolutely horrible job at UNLV.
