I didn’t know Clay Thompson played at Washington St.

I guess I don’t follow the NBA these days.

Klay final season had WSU in NCAA. Something as UNLV fan haven't sniffed in 10 yrs or is it longer now?
Yes Klay Thompson (son of Mychal Thompson former #1 NBA draft pick) played at WSU for 3 years. The Cougs did not make the NCAA's when Klay was there. They made the round of 32 in 06-07 and the Sweet 16 in 07-08, before Klay joined the team. They did make the NIT in Klay's freshman and junior (his last) year.

Those were golden years of Coug BB, as legend Dick Bennett came out of retirement and built the team for 3 years, then handed the reins to his son Tony, who bailed to Virginia after the afore-mentioned NCAA trips and the NIT in his last year.

Another WSU NBA player that bears mentioning was Aron Baynes from Australia, who did pretty well in the NBA although he shuffled around a lot. He was a beast. Baynes was there for the NCAA runs and his senior year was Klay's frosh year.

Story is U$C could have had Klay, but number 1 high schooler in the nation, OJ Mayo, committed to them. OJ only played in college one year and had a disappointing pro career.

OJ did raise Usc recruiting profile.
They should have got him a pair of gloves!

Can’t remember the kids name, around 2013, you guys landed him “over” UNLV. I hated his game. And he was such a wimp. Was afraid to play pick up on his official visit because Shabazz Muhammad was playing in the game. Didn’t want any run. What the hell was that kids’ name. I was happy we didn’t land him, we ended up not landing Shabazz Muhammad either ….

Couldn’t dribble, wouldn’t defend or rebound, wouldn’t pass …. Just throw him the ball and he was going to launch from wherever he was …. Pretty decent shooter though.

One of many Gorman players that didn’t
Yeah pretty much that whole team. I remember how hyped they all were. Ironically the least of them Ben Carter probably had the best career. Who was that Stanford kid that disappeared after a year?

He’s still playing in Europe, I see his dad quite a bit, he manages the liquor department at a local grocery store and we talk a bit.

His mother is Hungarian, he has dual citizenship and he has bounced around many countries. I think Daniel (his dad) told me he’s playing in Japan right now and they’ve all been good gigs for him, he’s happy with the way things have gone. Plus he has the education too.

He really could shoot it. I soured on him greatly when he wouldn’t play against Bennett during some all star competition at Gorman with some really good players.

Sorry, Roscoe Allen.

Oh right Roscoe Allen. Is he the one you were talking about who played in Europe or Carter? Carter was kind of a do everything glue guy a nice college player. Allen left Stanford after one year right?

Not sure what Ben is doing. Everything above is about Roscoe himself.

He graduated, don’t know if he played all 4 years though. His last season was strong, I remember that. Maybe 15/6 or something.

I love players like Carter because he’s the ultimate glue. Doesn’t demand touches. Will do any dirty work necessary, was a good passer, great teammate.

Oh ok so Roscoe did better than I thought then I figured he was out of basketball long ago. Yeah Carter was the type who would be the perfect fit on any team.
