Tomorrow's game features a much better team than Mississippi Valley State. Northern Colorado sports a 9-3 record and is coming off of a win at Wyoming (which we all know how tough it is to win there). The Rebels will have to be much better at avoiding turnovers tomorrow.

Wyoming outscored them in the paint 54-34 but Northern Colorado hit 14 3-pointers to get the 91-84 win.

14 3-pointers! Wow! Hopefully our defense beyond the arc will be up to the challenge.

After this game it’s on to the MW wars.pretty tough challenge in the opener against a veteran Boise St team. I’m anxious to see where we stand vs the conference. I want to believe that were better than the “middle-of-the-pack” predictions that preceded the season. But the proof will be"in the pudding," so to speak…

It’s going to be super annoying if we lose this game to end the nonconference schedule. Hope the guys don’t overlook this team and crush them. Looks like they score a lot of points.

A win means 11 wins which equals the win total from last season with 18 games left (not including the conference tournament). We should more than double that by the end of the season.

Overnight line has the Rebels as 12-point favorites. Let’s hope the books got it right.

Them scoring a lot should be encouraging for us. It means they play at a fast pace, which is advantageous to our style of play. I worry more about the slow-it-down, grind-it-out type teams (seeAir Force)

That was a tough game. That team was way better than I expected but most importantly they played with a lot of effort and physicality.

If UNLV could play like that every game we would no doubt win our conference. Our talent is there, now it's time to kick it up a notch and play with some real grit.
