New Court Panorama?

not with 2,000 people in the stands are they going to make one of those!
Speaking of the sparse crowds, I was checking the web sites of the local papers this morning. The R-J has a couple of boiler-plate articles about the Rebels win on Wednesday at Air Force.A standard recap and their custom "3 takeaways..." piece

The Sun, hasn’t a word. Not even one mention. not a box score, nothing. And it’s not like they had something on Thursday and moved on. They keep their stories for several days, until new pieces replace them.

OK,on Thursday, I thought perhaps it was a night game, and their deadline was earlier than the conclusion of the game. But no, here it is, Friday, and they’re still headlining the loss to Utah State.

I know that defeating Air Force doesn’t exactly qualify as a crowning achievement, even though it’s the first time we’ve accomplished that feat since 2014, but you’d think our local paper might, at least note it’s occurrence.

Putting bodies in the seats at the T&M might be helped by generating interest among the residents. Assuming that some read them, I think it’s incumbent on The R-J and The Sun to provide coverage. I intend to inform them of my opinion. i'm guessing it will land on deaf ears…

Go Rebels!

My initial reaction was that Grimala must be on vacation, because he's usually all over it. Then I went to take a look and noticed the same thing in the Rebels section of their site. The Sports section, however, does have several articles since the AFA game, they're just well below a bevy of VGK articles. I wonder if their filter/tagging system to sort articles crapped out for some reason or those articles were mislabeled.

Grimala often puts out an article or 2 after each game. They show up on the moibile site better than the main site for whatever reason. If you scroll through his linked tweets on the R side of the main paige, then you can find the articles.

Ok, I see Grimala’s tweet stream, and aaaall the way at the bottom of the right side, some coverage. I’ll apologize, kind of…

I missed it, and I was looking. Someone who’s just browsing would never come up with it. And if you go to the Sports page, try UNLV, and click on the basketball link, you are directed to a page that says “page not found”.

It’s clearly a glitch on the Sun’s part, I so I’ll give them a pass for now. although, it's been 3 days now. It appears they have made no effort to fix it.

I forgot that Grimala does their coverage, and he does a pretty comprehensive job.But they should try to do a bit better. It’s the Runnin’ Rebels. At one time they were front page news..
