I believe that is correct. A similar scenario occurred with Cal this week. Their staff gave took a commitment and gave the athlete time to sign. The athlete was slow-playing it and wanted to visit other schools. Cal then moved on.

I believe that the staff is just trying to settle everything down. The risk of being slow-played is very high. Guys are signing and then asking to be released when a better tamper offer comes in. Of course nothing that I post is 100% the story because there may also be things going on behind the scenes on the athletes end. Im simply just passing along information that I received. Flowe is a good pickup.
Was Flowe hurt last season? In 2023, he played 13 games. Last season he played in 4.

He ended up as a red shirt for 2024 most likely due to seeing the writing on the wall that he was not going to be a starter.

Hey I like soccer but we need that Latino fan base to root for the Rebels.
Anyone else notice the size of the LB’s Mullen is bringing to UNLV?!! If I didn’t know better he is making the Rebels a destination for guys with much better size, athleticism and speed than we are used to to around here.

Only had 3 tackles on the season..
But two of them were sacks.
Yes, we've signed a lot of 4/5 star HS transfers that just didn't get playing time, had injuries or didn't pan out talent wise in P4 conferences, but part of getting a 4/5 star evaluation is size, and that does translate better at G5 level.
Perhaps we are bringing in guys more suitable for the new DC’s schemes versus the one who was here for a cup of coffee.
Dan Mullen as the HC is real good cup of coffee though… Lol
I know that the QB commit was huge get but Jesse Harden WR out off Plant City, FL is nearly a 4* commit as a freshman for 2026. Huge WR 6'3-6'4 Florida player rated .8889 by 247
why wouldn’t a quality QB want to play for CDM? The guy has one helluva track record in that regard.

Mullen, has come out with a passion with 3 straight LB's committing to UNLV.
After, LB Charles Correa got tampered with to Purdue.
Mullen is a goofy guy but make no mistake he is a man on a mission. His intensity and work ethic is probably top ten in the country.
In addition to that, Mullen has fill the defensive staff with some NFL pedigree. Guenther coached up Burfict at Cincinnati and I think with the Raiders. Gruden also had Burfict on his show recently. So Burfict has some coaching connections and it could be a seamless transition for him at UNLV as the LBer coach. Though that’s not official.
That would be a, "Burfitct" fit, if he was to ever become UNLV's LB Coach someday.

Its a reason why he's had so much success building programs in the best conference in football despite going against the top tier coaches of today in the SEC...
