I chuckled at Houston vs Rice with 83,000. Remember reading Rice attractive for conference realignment cuz they are in Houston. This shows not so much. Also, Houston going to Big 12, they are not bringing much to the table either.

You aren't wrong about that.

But, it is worth noting that game outdrew most of the MW games. Also that is is a home game for both teams which probably hurts viewership though 23K in attendance doesn't move the needle that much, lol.

Houston is definitely a bigger market share than Rice. As a private school, very little local love for Rice.

With Michigan vs Unlv, those numbers don’t include those who watched it live on Paramount Plus like I did. I haven’t had cable in a decade. I don’t believe Paramount/ CBS release their live traffic numbers. You could probably add another 150k to whats on the board.
