The easy route would be to say Boyd as team MVP. He really does look every bit as good as Devante Davis, and he might actually have even more potential. But that's the easy route.
Blake Decker as team MVP. He showed some real flashes last year and I think if he cleans up the interceptions especially in the red zone he could put up some nice numbers. Add to that I think Blake played with some happy feet last year which hurt his mechanics. They went out and got Will Kreitler who was his center at a JUCO together. Decker may have more confidence that Kreitler will make the proper line calls and adjustments, that should also give him more confidence in the pocket. Keys should also develop in his sophomore campaign and Brandon Presley looks like he could be an immediate impact player for this team at WR.
Breakout star is tougher. Mike Hughes the defensive tackle. He is a big strong kid that showed some flashes last year. I think last year he was just a big kid but not quite as physically strong the guys he was competing against. With another year of weight training and conditioning at the college level we should see him take another step up. He has a lot of upside and potential.
