Commissioner said there were 2 schools they were looking at to possibly expand. Anyone have any insight on the potential schools?

The MW was definitely targeting the state of Texas, you heard this from Thompson in the past as well as some ADs recently. But now if the AAC is getting North Texas, San Antonio, and Rice the only 2 schools for the MW to take are SMU and UTEP (from Texas). Seems like the commissioner of the AAC is sticking to the MW! He knew they wanted to expand there footprint in Texas, sounds like AAC beat the MW to the punch!
Ya think whoever can land the top remaining Texas schools first will have an advantage over the other league in the future. We could of had Houston and amu over a decade ago but got complacent. Hope that doesn’t happen again.

Big move by the American Conference. The AAC decides to lock down the state of Texas and take all 3 of the best MWC candidates available in Texas. Hopefully the MWC isn't in need of another school anytime soon. UTEP is probably the best option we have available now.
In "Football". Is the MW maybe expanding with basketball? I can only hope so!
As long as we have a certified idiot running the MWC, and supported by a conference of idiot schools that keep him in power, they will continue to do nothing to improve on this conference, and will instead stay on the sidelines and watch things unfold! Last one out the door please lock up!

AAC is smart. Memphis and USF are probably next up to leave. They go to a 12 team conference. When Boise and SD st leave MWs best options are UTEP, NM st and ND st smh
