I really thought J Hill was going to be a good player when healthy this year but is so soft , doesn't shoot well and doesn't rebound well most games. Who is your most disappointing player?

I had low expectations for all of the roster sans Dedan so the players are right on track for me.

How bout changing up question to who has achieved or over achieved their hype?

Pape by a bit.
No others.
I’d agree with that.

I remember the Barnabie chatter here when we got him, then RS, no play … reports saying he was a beast over summer. When I heard (didn’t see, but trust these people), meh, no impact. And heard this team was going to be “more of the same”. Was also told fastest/best defense ever at UNLV (FB) and it should be our best year.

When I can’t go and see regularly, I’ll trust my sources because they aren’t candy coating coddlers of fragile psyches, they tell it like they see it, good or bad.

Pape has a chance to be a good player. Wont be dominant or all league guy, but a good piece I’d like to see develop here.

Pape needs to be able to score.

I was really hoping he would turn it on but he only looks dominant against the weaker competition in November and December!
I heard in preseason that he was dominating. I knew then and there that this season would be a waste.

Players? Meh, I think we have more than enough talent to do better, we just don't do anything to take advantage of our strenghts, toher than give Dedan the ball.

Hill has been a little disappointing since he was a top 5 transfer when he came in last season, injuries have likely played a roll.

Cherry can be hit or miss, but he is a top 3 low post scoring threat in this league. We just don't do much to get him touches in position.

Rishwain and Bedford are both good shooters, but again we do nothing to get them clean looks. Henly has been a decent overall player, but he is used almost as a second player to attack off the dribble offensively, which he is OK at, but probably not his biggest strength.

I think we have decent defenders, but we help so much it doesn't matter. In fact we purposely funnel players to the key instead of defending straight up. We then collapse on them which usually leaves someone wide open. This is often exploited.

To the OP? Honestly the biggest player dissapointment may be Dedan. He is marginally better this year, but he isn't much of a point guard. I don't blame him so much since it is hard to run an offense that doesn't exist. Though his inconsistency at the free throw line, and the fact he rarely gives up the ball once help defense comes his way is something that he could do better.

Basically if we traded rosters with most other teams in this league, I think the other coach does more this season.

Post play is weak in the MWC, especially if Cherry is anywhere near the top for post players!

With his size and length, he should not disappear in games as much as he does. There are other ways to for him to assert himself but he just fades into the background too much for me.

Because of this he is my biggest disappointment by far!

Most disappointing player? We don't have a non-disappointing player, so take your pick. Can't think of a single player that hasn't under performed pre-season expectations.
