This will happen because it is the one person that I can't put a positive spin on in my head.

Obviously Karl would be great, Miller has inside track to our players and recruits, Lavin has tons of experience and success, Augmon deserves it and keeps the family together, etc.

I can't put a spin on Menzies. I can't find a bright side here.

There have been two polls on this site. He is the only guy to not get a vote IN EITHER POLL! How is that possible?

Menzies is actually the only choice that makes sense at this point. He has been a successful coach at the college level in the western US. Karl has no college experience and is burned out. Augmon has great UNLV credentials but no head coaching experience.

But to be honest, at this point, I would be happy to have ANYONE under contract who can actually begin to assemble a roster for next year. I think firing Rice in mid-year created bad karma and there is no telling how many chicken necks will have to be wrung to undo that terrible decision.

Are you kidding me. We are really going to end up with Menzies? He's basically the only coach on here that everyone agrees on, and we all agree he shouldn't be hired!

I couldn't have possibly even dreamed up a worse coaching search. Heads have to roll if Menzies is named the new Head Coach of UNLV. Right?
