For this guy, can someone put this in plain English, does this help, hurt or change nothing for UNLV?
IMO UNLV has too much invested now to opt out if that is indeed an optionOkay let me ask this way… What do you guys think UNLV will do?
Opt in or out like the Ivy’s?
Thanks!IMO UNLV has too much invested now to opt out if that is indeed an option
Agreed. The train to a P4 has left the station. An opt out will only be considered if we’re not invited by a P4 in the next realignment round.IMO UNLV has too much invested now to opt out if that is indeed an option
No one in G5 is going to be paying the cap of $20.5 million. The revenue sharing if you opt in (not required) is actually 22% of the revenue income of that school capped at that $20.5 million. The revenue of UNLV athletics at 22% is more like 1/3 of that cap (It's been a while since I've seen the revenue amount and at this moment I don't want to look for it. But, its not anywhere near a P4 revenue.)Thanks!
Will this help level the playing field for schools like UNLV? I hope so, this NIL money thing is ridiculous and only a few schools will benefit!
The Iveys offer no scholarships now. I can see why they would opt out. Crazy to pay a player and offer no scholarship.Okay let me ask this way… What do you guys think UNLV will do?

Yep!I'll be surprised if the P4 don't opt out - of the NCAA. Form their own league and off a 60 Mil cap.
Its coming only questions are when and how many schools. Probably be two conferences like NFC/AFC split in to divisions. Right now in the Power2 plus Next2 conferences I believe thatthere are 67 schools, I think that number will shrink when the new conferences are formed.I'll be surprised if the P4 don't opt out - of the NCAA. I agree. They will bet greedy and limit participation. Its coming only questions are when and how many schools. Probably be two conferences like NFC/AFC split in to divisions.
