I would love to have him as a assistant until he takes over the AD. Unless he taking it over very soon!
That sounds pretty nice! I wonder if he wants to help Kevin out for a year or 2. Would make me feel much better about the CKK hire.
Depends what you expected .... for some, this is right on schedule.
Maybe he wants to take some time off and when DRFs contract expires he will be ready to go again.

I believe her contract expires next year, hopefully she lands another job somewhere else before then. If not, I can see the new president giving her a new contract which I believe is 5 years! She was trying to land that UCLA AD job last year and made the final 3 but didn't get the gig. She's looking to go to a power 5 school, maybe she lands at Kansas cause I read somewhere that she might be a possible candidate there. Not sure if this is true but I'm crossing my fingers!
Someone who loves to spend everyday on the golf course isn’t a great look for a basketball coach but it’s not really a problem if he wants to be AD. Hell I bet Lon could land more donations in a few rounds of golf with boosters than DRF has in 4 years.

A LOT of people retired a year or two early after this last year. I wouldn't read too much into it.
