At once again, or as I should say, as always, the coaching sucked. Outcoached, outmanouvered. This guy should have sat, this guy should have played.... etc, etc, etc.

There's no doubt that the game changed with the zone and UNLV's counter to it was weak. They didn't look ready for it. Zone offense needs work.

But players HAVE to hit shots and they HAVE to make good decisions. As for players playing too much or not enough - I'll side with the coaches on this one. They know their players, we don't. We don't know the reasons why, but I'm sure they're valid.

It was a very ugly game. Neither team attacked well. UNLV turned it over and GAVE the game and TCU kept UNLV in it with bricks from the FT line. Once again, it was one of those games where the team that didn't play quite as poorly won - that's always ugly basketball. But should we have expected much different? Two brand new staffs, a lot of new players, all searching and trying to grow.
