LA Bowl projections

USC is probably going to have a hard time becoming bowl eligible. Nebraska, UCLA and ND. It’d be cool if the Reb’s came down here for the LA Bowl. It’d be fun to watch a practice or two. I haven’t been to the new stadium in Inglewood yet. Just heard different parking stories.

I think they can beat Nebraska and UCLA. Could even see them taking out Notre Dame (they always seem to drop games they shouldn’t).

While USC disappoints again (is Riley a dead man walking?), all of their losses have been close. Most losses have been less than a FG. Their worst loss was by 7 points.

Obviously would rather beat BSU and go from there but if that doesn't happen this is an "ok" alternative. I would rather play a lower level ranked team 20-25. UW is more mediocre this year. A matchup equivalent to Kansas last year is much better. A win would mean a lot more.

Goal is 100% a playoff, but this would be a really, really good bowl game for us as a program.

Ha, just compare it to the New Mexico Bowl or the Idaho Potato bowl where we'd be facing off against Eastern Michigan or some other MAC/Sun Belt team.

A matchup against Washington or USC would put those to shame.
That and the payout will be sweeter. We picked up $1.6 million last year and hopefully we can get over the $2 million payout this year.

It's definitely better than those which is why I said the bowl itself is good, just the opponent is meh. I haven't been that impressed watching them play.

USC being 4-5, they have to win 2 of their remaining 3. They are not going to beat Notre Dame. Means they have to win their next 2. They should be able to beat Nebraska at home. UCLA at UCLA will be tough mainly because it is a rivalry game and both teams will more than likely need that win to become or still be in the running for bowl eligibility.

I am telling you Maiava is a badass. Dont make assumptions upon his freshman's year and being thrust into the starting line up...oh by the way, he beat Vanderbilt in his first game. Which started the UNLV winning way.

The winning way...I like it.

UW would beat UNLV by at least a TD

Kansas is absolutely horrible. UNLV hasn’t beat anyone good
Washington has one ok win over a Michigan team that has fallen off a cliff compared to last year and has a bad loss vs Rutgers and got rolled a few times. We didn’t beat Boise but it was as close as it could get. I think Boise would beat UW by 10+ and UNLV would be right in it.

We do need to start winning the big game. Thought KU was that big win this year but turns out they’re terrible.

I can play this game too. Houston who has 5 losses and lost to 2 win Kansas by 30.
UNLV also beat Kansas. That is the same Kansas that is currently up by 3 touchdown's in the first half against 17th ranked Iowa State. UNLV has beat some good teams, it just isn't their fault that those teams do not have great records. In regards to Kansas, the lost by less than a TD in all be the TCU game. Houston and Kansas have both shown that they are more than capable of beating top 25 teams.

Yep Houston already has they beat 3 good teams.

Kansas is not absolutely horrible. They just beat a top 25 team today. They have been in the lead in the 4th q of most every game. Shaky throwing by qb has made them lose all kinds of close games.

The way this team is on offense right now, we would get “smoked” in the LA Bowl!
We might not have to worry about it because as bad as our offense looks, we may back into a 7-5 or 8-4 record at best!
