when we first lost juiston, it didn't seem like it was a huge impact because it seemed like JTT and Ntambwe could soak up those minutes and it wasn't a huge drop off as juiston didn't seem to be flourishing as the go to option.
The more i think about it though, i think juiston is more of a Robin type / not a Bat Man. When he was thrust into the bat man role he didn't look so great. I think if he was still playing right now, that the development of Ntambwe after the first few games of adjustment would have helped juiston settle into a better role and I think the two of them would be working together really well - with juiston finding Ntambwe from the inside out and with juiston picking his spots when the opponents' defense is reacting to Ntambwe.
i know "wait till next year" sucks - but, if juiston is still with us, a super experienced front line of Diong (jr.) Juiston (sr.) and Ntambwe (soph) should be a solid core to build around.
Not saying it's great - but it looks like coach MM is developing a pretty solid core of mediocrity. Mediocrity that - in this crap conference - should have us challenging for reg. season titles in the next few years.
