jordan cornish

Fluke freshman year. I don't think Cornish was known as a long-range sharpshooter in high school.

I wish you the best Jordan however I think you and the rest of the players going pro or transferring are making a mistake. Be angry at the powers that be that led to Simon being picked over Augmon but also take some of the blame for things turning out the way they did. Playing hard, focused team ball for 40 minutes would've saved Rice's job and earned an NCAA invite. Playing hard sporadically, heeding your coaches when it suited you, and playing without discipline is what brought us to this point. I believe Coach Beard would've given you all exactly what you needed to reach your true potential as a team but we'll never know now. Most of you will indeed have pro careers with varying degrees of success(mostly brief and modest). What you won't have is the legacy that comes with great teams and great accomplishments. That's why decades after the fact people still remember names like Sudden Sam Smith, Fearless Freddie Banks, Stacey Plastic Man Augmon, etc. I think with Beard the team could've done great things. As it stands we'll have to endure a couple more years of recruiting to see if Beard can deliver.

Cornish had an incredibly disappointing Soph year shooting. He's not a very good ball handler, and needed to work on getting open more for a shot. Defense was middle of the pack I think. For his size, he used it ok, but not great. He's a solid player, but won't take over a game by any means.

Cornish has a horrible outside shot. Extremely lucky his Fr year. Just look at his form when shoots, no arch, line drive city which equals very very streaky shooting.

what kind of player/student athlete is cal getting in jordan cornish?...why did he got from almost 50% on 3 pointers as a freshman to 30% as a sophomore?

Had a horrible, horrible stretch where he couldn't hit a shot. I think at one point early in the year he missed something like 28 straight threes. Confidence thing, I'd say. He bounced back from that and really started hitting, then plateaued.

Good kid, should be a decent player for you.
