After the Rebels quickly got back in the game after being down 9 with 11:30 to go, we found ourselves down 2 with 9:30 remaining. Then, this happened:
- Colette hits baseline layup on GO, gets a phantom foul call, but misses FT. DOWN 4
- Chris Wood forces a bad shot over a double team. No good.
- Chris Wood jogs up the floor, Colette sprints, and Colette gets an easy dunk. DOWN 6
- Chris Wood attenpts step-back 3 from deep. Backboard only.
- USU good ball movement and McCaw a little slow to close-out on 3. DOWN 9
- Morgan face-up midrange jumper. Good. DOWN 7
- Phantom foul on JK on long 2-point jumper. Both FT good. DOWN 9
- Chris Wood fouled posting up. Misses front end of 1&1. Offensive rebound Doolin.
- Chris Wood goes up soft on short layup attempt. Blocked.
- USU Harris (the ugly one) obviously slides pivot foot in lane to get layup. Around Lucky. DOWN 11
- Okonoboh misses 2 FT.
- USU driving layup around Cornish and Okonoboh. DOWN 13
- Doolin's pass to cutting Wood goes out of bounds. (Could Chris have done more to get ball? Probably)
- Turnover USU
- Chris Wood drives into double team. Forces and misses layup. Offensive rebound tipped around and grabbed by Chris.
- Chris goes up for layup and is stripped. Chris flails around and whines to official.
- Playing 5 on 4, USU finds open shooter for 3. Good. DOWN 16.
While there is some blame to go around, I see one player's name associated with bad plays up there more than anyone else.
Oh and I should mention, we cut USU's lead from 9 to 2 with Chris on the bench (just before this 16-2 run). He gets back in and, well, you can read.
