My guess...

Its dependent on how this season goes.

If Rebs go bowling, and Coach Sanchez is retained, he should be able to hold off most of the poaching.

If it goes south...You could see a number of the higher ranked recruits flip, unless UNLV hires a slam dunk replacement for Coach Sanchez. And even then you probably lose a few.

Justin Pinkney had an offer from Auburn a few months before he committed to UNLV, which is promising.

What UNLV currently has that other schools don't is commitments from his two Junipero Serra teammates, Doug Brumfield (our QB of the future) and WR Ronald Gilliam (our highest rated '20 recruit so far).

Those three are currently the top 3 commits for the '20 class. The real concern would be a major program working to flip all 3, and you would expect the minute the UNLV staff's future becomes dim, the vultures will start circling.

Not that it's any indicator, but UNLV also had 3 high school teammates committed in the '18 class, that trio was from Chandler AZ. Two of them stuck and are on the depth chart at DL and DB, but the WR decommitted and ended up walking on at ASU.

Dead on...

Maybe we should ask Doug Brumfield his thoughts:

If UNLV can play up to the level they need to get to a bowl game, I am not that concerned about offers from schools like Oregon State. Considering an offer from Auburn was passed on to commit to UNLV, I think we are in really good shape unless a major schools offers all 3 as a package deal!

The stadium and facility will make UNLV competitive vs lower end P5 programs.

Still have to worry about guys taking actual visits to the big boys like Auburn or USC etc.

If those schools get guys to take visits, especially on game days, UNLV will have a tough time competing.

A packed stadium of 50-60k is a pretty impressive sight. We can't match that game day atmosphere yet. (One day hopefully).

Another thing to consider is a few of those guys committed immediately after a camp.
