How good are we?

Unless things change dramatically! No! We might upset a few good teams ,but we are a long away from being a tournament team. Even NIT. WE HAVE A LOT OF NEW PLAYERS SO THINGS CAN CHANGE.
This team seems to get along and enjoy playing hard for Kevin. If the shooting comes along, we can be a good team. Very good? Dunno.
I’m thinking top 20, possible sweet 16 team with some breaks.
Right now, after watching SDSU play BYU, there are four great teams emerging on west coast. BYU, Zags, Arizona, UCLA. UNLV needs to use their speed more. I saw glimpses of it in the SDSU game. We need to score in the eighties to beat SDSU. Kruger talked about getting it out on a video earlier this year so I think that is the goal. Easy baskets ( easy to talk about but hard to get) will make the victories come easier. NM is running also.
I think we look like a top 100 team. If we get lucky and avoid injuries, we can maybe compete for the next tier behind the leaders in the MW (3rd place). I'm thinking we finish with a winning record. Maybe win a couple games in the MW tourny (maybe win it all). but we still have some serious deficiencies upfront and with shooting. If injuries happen to Hamm, McCabe, or Bryce - well lets just say we need those 3 stay healthy. I can see us right finishing around 17-14 regular season

But we'll know if we have a chance at NCAA after the San Fran game.( Dec 4 - two weeks from Sat. ) From KenPom - we'll have played 2 top 10, 1 top 30, and 2 to 60 teams. If we lose them all we'll need the MWC tourney. If we can win 3 out of 5 we're probably good enough to get an at large bid.
