Highest rated UNLV football recruit ever

Coming out of high school?

I know Melvin Laster was a 247 4 star last year. This year we have Kamran Williams now listed on the final on3 top 300 for 2025 coming in at No. 284, 91 overall 4 star.

So I’m just curious, who was the highest rated and where does Kam rank? Top 300 is bigtime

The funny thing is that the only other top G5 program with a top 300 recruit is NIU at #270 - Optics are not looking good for the PAC!

Not sure where he was on lists, but Ervin Johnson was a highly rated WR coming out of HS under John Robinson. Lived up to the hype for the most part, had a really good collegiate career here. John Ford was a RB during the same period that was committed to UNLV and probably signed a LOI, but never attended UNLV. Want to say one list had him as a top 100 recruit overall, but not sure. He was a 4* on everyone’s evaluations though. Legend has it that his commitment was the reason why JR never recruited local RB, Steven Jackson much, haha.
