At least we get a good warm fuzzy feeling with byu currently losing 21-10.They’re screwing the pooch.
Back to back games with under 30 points for a team that scores above 40 per game.
and scoring this game was a huge struggle. Two missed FG’s, penalties and one of the worst red zones in the country.
It’s nauseating when your offensive wizardry is your bread and butter.
FIFYIt’s a good thing we already have 7 wins!
My money is on Wyoming to take them out next week in their rivalry game.Fresno is looking really bad against AF. I worry if they will be good enough to beat CSU?
Been saying all season long that we cannot defend the pass at all. Every game this year we have made a crappy QB look like an NFL legend. Ikeep thinking they are going to fix it but they don't. Better teams are going to expose it and we will lose to better teams because of it. Our 2 losses are perfect examples. The defense needs to be overhauled in a big way. They really need to get a new coordinator next year. This guy just ain't cutting it.Sometimes you have to win ugly like that but our offense has work to do between now and SJSU. You can also bet teams will be testing Oliver deep because he got beat several times they just couldn’t complete the pass.
Yea we gave away 25 points. 2 TD. 2 FG and a safety instead of TD.
Hajj needs to check down better. Looks for White almost every time if not open runs.Hajj looked.....Uncertain tonight? Hawaii is solid defensively. Did a good job bracketing Ricky most of the night. Took run game a while to get going.
Lot of miscues in passing game/route running.
Didn't love a couple of the third and shorts calls.
That said.
UNLV is averaging close to 40 points a game and we're shitting on our OC...

IT felt like this watching the game!!!!!!!!!!!!I would agree.
Early he just seemed antsy? Dropped back and it was almost like as soon as his back foot hit in his drop, he was already looking to run. Missed a couple easy throws early.
Calmed down in the second half.
Worst game he's played for us and Rebs still got the W.
I'll take it.
Now I want to absolutely roll SDSU.
That last run bye Williams he should of just surrendered after the 1st down. Easily could of been stripped .I would agree.

That was bad, reminded me of Syracuse.
On paper we should definitely be better than we are we have some players. I think the lack of pass rush hurts our secondary but some of those guys were wide open despite getting to the QB yesterday.Been saying all season long that we cannot defend the pass at all. Stinks Hawaii and UNM play one another both need the win to get bowl eligible.Happy to get out of there with the win. I didn’t expect it to be easy. I thought it would be a close game but holy crap we made that a lot tougher than it needed to be. Hawaii isn’t a terrible team. They finish with USU and UNM. I’d like to see them make a bowl this year.
They were wide open because we got to the QB... we blitzed way more yesterday leaving guys 1 v 1 and Catalon got burned by the speedy WRs. So far this year we hadn't surrendered those types of shots but Hawaii running 5 WR splits and just sending go routes all night deep led to alot of deep balls. We got more pressure but struggled to keep WRs in front of us all night. Their QB missed several wide open guysOn paper we should definitely be better than we are we have some players. I thought we had a couple calls to our way too but they weren’t as pivotal as that one.
I’m still super concerned about our offensive flow.
Stupid mistake on the defender. Ball was clearly away. That being said, Schager did some theater work there. He wasn’t hit nearly that hard. He sold being hit, and the white hat bought into it. Soft call.
He has lost me with his ignoramus act on the sidelines. I guess you're good with that. OK. A big no thanks for me. Make adjustments or call better plays or do a better job in practice coaching it up, instead of screaming at everyone would be a good start.I get the concerns about the offense being a bit disjointed this game. And yeah the settling for FGs vs TDs in the Red Zone creeps up too often.
But we're number 38 in total offense and number 7 in scoring offense.
Anybody who thinks Marion is 'hurting his resume' or coaching himself out of future jobs is nuts...
Our passing game stinks..
(number 38 in the country passing efficiency)

That stream was incredible..Thank you!
this was a tough game. Anyone who bet on Hawaii made out like bandits. The only people I see complaining about this are fans.
Coaches jump players shit all the time. This isn't new. He's also been seen congratulating dudes after big plays and scores.
Yeah I'm good with scoring 40 points a game and being top 40 in total offense. That's his job move the ball put points on the board.
It isn't to win a popularity contest.
And he's done it with a QB that over half the board crapped on when he was brought in. Maybe, just maybe he's kinda good at his job.
Numbers back that up. Results back that up.
It's like boxing. People who hate Floyd Mayweather. I get it, he's an ass. But to expand on that and say he sucks....Is just foolish.
Yeah I just totally disagree on a college level. On a pro level, you got a point. But we aren't pros. The only people I see complaining about this are fans.

If you want a Woody Hayes type. It's not gonna last very long.
This is true they did blitz a lot but I can see why too our DB’s ahpudl be good enough to cover them one on one periodically and a few times they let receivers run right past them like they weren’t paying attention. I can’t imagine it was effort based or they were expecting safety help over the top but more than once they let them run by.They were wide open because we got to the QB... we blitzed way more yesterday leaving guys 1 v 1 and Catalon got burned by the speedy WRs. Hire a bunch of idiot coaches that think like this, and your program will not be for long. I mean come on man. You know better. They are getting compensated. They kinda are pros.
As for coaches approach/mentality.
I think it's all goes to results.
'Players coach' Is great. Until things go south. Then the coach is too soft 'we need a disciplinarian'.
'Hard ass' is great. Until things go south. Then you need a 'players coach that can relate'.
In my opinion. If you're winning people typically don't care.

Dude already got us in a huge kerfuffle (good word btw) with Sluka BS. Get him outta here, he's a trainwreck waiting to happen. Let him go be HC at ULL or something.
