What’s going to happen this season, but it looks like no fans to start, which I can’t see changing much, not with Sis as gov. Which probably means UNLV will finish in 1st in the MWC, make the tourney and even win a game. It‘d make too much sense for that to be the fortune, during what I consider an asterisk season (some people don’t and that’s fine). Of course, I’m fine with that, but if I ever had a season in which I had to choose to flounder, this would be in. It wouldn‘t be like the Knights healing the city in the Oct 1 aftermath. Kinda like football is doing … it really “doesn’t matter”. To me the atmosphere and environment is a huge part of what makes sports … home court, momentum, deafening noise, etc.

The NCAAT and BCS are huge for the NCAA. They gotta find a way with TV contract money. I don’t know their overall financial situation. And with those games, fans in attendance don’t “matter“, it’s the TV contract.

I won’t be surprised if we only get conference games in this year and that may be with bubbles. Nothing will surprise me.
