Sometimes I think you see what you want to see to keep "discussions" going. I never said we had zero chance. I just mentioned a few posts above that I gave us a 15% chance. Is that zero?
The line you gave will probably be close to what it is. The line also means nothing. It is not the expected outcome, it is designed to get equal action. When you pit both teams against each other, Arizona is probably a 7-8 point favorite on a neutral court. Add a few for being at home. In my view, I would add a few more since we beat them last year. I would not bet the Rebels unless I was getting 16-17 points. That is just my opinion, it does not mean I am being pessimistic, it means I am analyzing what I see and making a judgement call. I will not change my opinion because I am a fan and want it to be a different way. Make sense?
That being said, I would never bet Arizona money line just to win because anybody that knows anything about sports betting knows there is no value in betting a big favorite just to win, unless you are scalping numbers which is a completely different story.
If you think my analysis is wrong, feel free to explain why, I would like to hear your opinion. Calling me pessimistic or saying we have different definitions for words is just being argumentative and doesn't accomplish anything.
1. Nice job by the coaching staff and rice. Do allot of hating on Rice, but i do want him to be successful. Really do hope he has grown from oaf seasons.
2. Hard to rank a team out of the gate that has done jack post season in how many years? Have to win some stuff.
3. Did the UCLA loss humble the players a bit? Or at least get them abit more focused. Don't think i have seen as much "flexing" since then. Granted might have missed it. But they seem much more about taking care of business last few games.
Great win. And these guys are certainly a bunch you can cheer for. Wish zimm and suck wouldn't be a one and done. Could see them doing some good things.
