Great Season!

I know I never seem happy but 11wins is 11 wins!

Thanks Barry Odom, coaching staff, players and fans! Also thanks to Harper for keeping it going with the hiring of Dan Mullen!

Go Rebels!
lol. Beat me to it. Retire Jackson Woodard’s 7. DPOY, 1st team all-MWC, 2nd team All-American. Captain of an 11 win, bowl winning Rebel Football team. Academic AA.

Do it!!

It's been really fun going to games the last 2 years & cant wait to see what lies ahead after suffering through the last how many decades?
You said it brother! This season met and exceeded all expectations. The suffering was worth it for these moments over the last two years. Hoping Mullen can slip in without too much of a drop off.

I always thought the best UNLV could do was maybe win 6-7 games, if not no big deal there’s basketball season. Someone says 11 wins back then and you’d think they are smoking crack. Not the case anymore, 6-7 wins would be a disaster probably now that the standard is set.

11 wins and a bowl win is incredible. 20 wins in 2 years is even more so, CDM has to keep the train rolling next year and bring in even better and more talented players to get to that next stage.

With Zach Arnett coming in as the Defensive Coordinator I think that will help. He has been in the SEC with a nationally ranked team. I am sure he can put together a great list of potential players for CDM.

What an amazing run by this group of guys the past two years. My dad was a K-State grad back in the 60s, and they had the absolute worst program for 40 years till Bill Snyder turned them around. My dad finally got to watch his alma mater be relevant in football. As a UNLV grad and Vegas native, I feel this is the same path I've been traveling. Just waiting for the Rebels to awaken. I think that time might have officially come. What a time to be a Rebel football fan.

My mood might change once the portal starts swinging. But I woke up this morning still feeling great about the win yesterday. Thank you to my fellow fans on this board for caring and sharing in my enthusiasm about the team this season. We've had a lot of ups and downs, but it felt good to end this season on a bowl victory. May we continue to cite this season as the reason why mediocrity shouldn't be allowed in this program for the next 25 years. Super happy our community has grown. Reno still sucks, and we have a lot to look forward to.

Funny you mention Snyder, that IS the model that Harper keeps citing in his pressers when it comes to who he’s looking for or how the program should be run. Harper played under Snyder and knows who the real McCoy is when he’s interviewing coaches for the job.

He truly values hard work and as a result something special could be brewing here long term.

The fact Harper played under Synder, something I didn't know, makes complete sense. He knows UNLV could be turned around after 40 years of ineptitude because he was part of a similar transformation. Cool connection.
