Harper....The next UNLV head basketball coach

Yep. Get 5k more paying fans per game, at $50/each, that's 250k more per game in ticket sales. Then add in food and beverage for another 100k/game.

So an extra 350k per game x 16 (or so) home games = $5,600,000 per year.

And that's just with adding 5k. Add 10 k and that number doubles to over $11 million more money per season

The right coach will also work the boosters to build the NIL pot.
Lon got boosters on his side. Hauck didn't at all.
It's part of being a coach nowadays.

Boosters are the easiest to talk into it since they have a love for the program already. You aren't out making cold calls to people who have no rooting interest in the school. Then those boosters show their friends the pictures with Coach and tell others with money how nice he is, so more people with money get on board.

People hate Gorman but stop by Gorman and glad hand with everyone you can there. Take pictures with the Librarian if need be. Spread the word about how you love Las Vegas.

Sarcasm part - Maybe one day that coach will have a son who needs a HC job so your booster friends can get him in the door.
Bill Belichick is that you?! Lol

While your point is taken, to get that much more per game per ticket would require UNLV to sell a big chunk of the high priced tickets. I would be happy if UNLV could get $25-30/each per ticket. As for 10K at $50 each, 85% or more of the tickets that would be available have a season ticket price point at around $30 per game or below.
