I read something about that a few weeks ago, but didn't know they had already changed it to the ByWho bowl. Just another reason for us to look at getting rid of the bowl in the future. With the allegiance of the bowl going to bywho, why should we do anything to keep them here in LV. As for a loss of money for the LV, a vast portion of those who would go to the game would be locals with connection to bywho, so it really doesn't bring in that much money.

As for the RJ, with the exception of one writer, they have played up to byu, bsu, and unr for years. I stopped getting the RJ back about 3-4 years ago, and have no intention of going back.

This is just another reason for UNLV to do everything it can to build up the football program, and leave the mwc for the Big12 or Pac12. The mwc has done nothing but stick it to UNLV for year. First the agreement to kiss up to bsu to keep them in the league. Then the really crappy long term tv deal that did almost nothing to help the conference and absolutely nothing for UNLV. Any trained monkey could have made a better tv deal. Along with the bonus deal that should just be called the screw UNLV deal, I have zero loyalty to the mwc. Considering UNLV and SDSU along with NM are the only reason the conference is relevant in basketball, why don't we get bonus deals for nationally televised basketball games. UNLV would have received by far the most, but the mwc doesn't care about being fair.

Now the mwc leaves the barn door open on the byu bowl, what a joke!

Sanchez, change things quickly so that we can move on up to the penthouse in the sky!

In general, the RJ has always been the worst rag in the valley. A few good writers that do their job with some integrity - I consider Mark A. to be one of them. But for the most part, it's a very slanted roll of toilet paper and has been since I can remember. Hack after hack after hack. Doesn't matter what topic they cover. Garbage.
