Marc Badain's statement of "we might need it for a concert" during those two UNLV games should come back to haunt them. I haven't read through recently, but if memory serves, the agreement is that UNLV basically has priority over NON-SCHEDULED events (of course Raiders games get primary use). Officially, there is nothing else scheduled, especially nothing before 2014 or 15 when those La Tech and ASU games were likely scheduled. I don't see how this is a controversy other than the fact that UNLV stupidly agreed to verbage allowing for one noncon game, sort of assuming that the other two noncon games were going to be a given. (1+2=3 instead of 1+0=1).
Sorry, rant over.
I'm happy to see something scheduled with public attendees BEFORE the first UNLV-Cal game. I hated the idea of being the guinea pig, even though I'm sure they will have countless production walk-throughs.
Something tells me with a concert of that magnitude, they will take it more seriously.
