Looks like SJSU is a 3-4 point favorite which is a huge surprise to me. I know they are a little bit improved but they have the weakest home court advantage in the MWC. Even though it's still travel and you're out of the comfort of your own bed, it's the least intimidating travel, venue and crowd in the MWC.
I had UNLV pegged as about a three point favorite so that makes this a live dog scenario for myself. No, not because I think UNLV is great but that SJSU is a favorite over anymore comes as a surprise to me (for the most part).
Even though the comeback fell short and even though it seems like a few players are really searching to find things, I think UNLV has improved. Shored up turnovers, better with rebounding and though still hit and miss, the defense and the offense are a bit more consistent. It'll be interesting to see if Zion increases his role or if it was the fuel a couple of our guys needed.
I think UNLV wins this one 76-71.
