Creighton is currently up over #1 Kansas by 9 in the first half, I don't want to even guess what they will do to UNLV?
Jays are somewhat inconsistent this year, but if your last game is beating #1 then your rollercoaster is at the top! On the other hand, Rebels are no better than their middling schedule.

Could very well be a hangover game.
All things equal, we lose by double digits on a neutral floor. Sometimes desperation vs relaxation can impact things greatly.
Creighton didn’t forget last year and won’t overlook UNLV this time. We probably get blown out, imo.
This game is gonna be uglier than last nights performance against Boise St. not a good weekend to be a Rebel fan. Rebs lose by 20+.
Wow. A team in our league as far as athletes, and we get blown away. Giving up way too easy of shots and getting hammered on the boards is a bad combo. I truly wish this was not the case, but time running out for this staff.
Some people say style doesn’t matter, wins do. Well … yes …. But even with wins, I do think style matters. We don’t have to run and gun and score 90+ per game.
But what we are seeing is an extreme. It’s old Air Force pace but without design/plays. It’s VERY slow, there’s little activity … it seriously is very hard on the eyes. Sure, take this offense and drain 9-17 three pointers and it “looks good” unless you are really looking at it. If you average 9-17 for the season and it “looks good”, then you have a really good shooting team and the system can work. But we don’t do anything well. Dedan is our best player so he does what he does to get the points.

I dont even care if every player leaves and ever commit backs out. Kevin and staff need to be gone at years end. They have zero clue of what they are doing.
Before the season began i had said 6-5 ooc and 10-10 in conference but i doubt they even get that many wins.

This is not no growth, it is regression. Last year we had the Boone brothers and Whaley so we could match up with most teams. This year, Whaley is hurt and our recruits are not as good as what left.
Hill is shooting 35% for the year and DJ is at 39%. That is regression for both of them and I just do not see it getting much better as Hill has lost quickness and explosiveness and while DJ is good, really athletic points guards like Memphis and Miss St had, make him look a bit average.

Yeah, no midseason stuff. Accomplishes nothing positive. A couple of hundred remaining fans cheer for 10 seconds in unison and say I told you so? And then count the potential negatives.

Decent early, even with a completely broken offense (zero assists in the first half), but at least we were competitive. Then we wilted. And had zero fight back. That part always disappoints me. No heart.
And the Bear looks like he hibernates when there’s big bodies around.
Nowadays a competitive first half counts as a win. Don't be surprised if the low expectations folks add a 1/2 win to his season record.
Normally I’d say CKK is cooked but I knew there was no way that Creighton would overlook UNLV after last season.

At this point I am ready to have Post Malone or Jelly Roll coach this team as long as it isn't Kevin.
Maybe I am wrong, but I find it very likely UNLV will finish with either a losing record, or at least hist worst record as a UNLV coach. It appears that a 20 win season is moving into fantasy land! I did find some tape on a couple of new guards that are considering UNLV next season.
Is Whaley coming back anytime soon? Why did Cherry get no minutes? When cherry was in we looked like a competitive team, with him + Whaley I think this is still a roster that could be dangerous against anyone, without them it’s a sad ordeal.
Have to wait and be patient to can him. You have to treat him right, thank him for his efforts and move on at the end of the season. There won’t be any midseason changes.
Kruger has pretty much destroyed the good will of the UNLV basketball community, but getting rid of him during the middle of the season would do even more damage to a program that is currently on life support.

And it’s not like Kalk was a huge factor. So who knows?
We did two things well. Dribbled tons with few turnovers. And resembling grade A matador on defense.
The team doesn’t have a lot of pride right now. Just Going through the motions.
Roster construction, blah. Recruiting efforts, blah. Offensive system, horrific. Defensive intensity, poor. Too many individual poor defenders.
How are there the same blaring weaknesses year after year that aren’t addressed?
Creighton shot 63%. Not because they were so phenomenal, but because we didn't/couldn't play defense. Lack of talent or desire. We start Bannarbie and Pape gets over 20 minutes. Rishwain starts and, God love him, he plays hard. But he's in his sixth year at his third program and he's never started anywhere else. These kids would make decent rotational/role players in their junior and senior years here, but they wouldn't see the floor for a top 40 team. And where did Evans go?
KK has several faults. But in my opinion, be it lack of NIL, lack of persuasiveness, lack of talent evaluation etc. recruiting is his biggest fault and that isn't getting any better. In fact we have less talent each year.
