I was looking to donate a little and came across this - didn't know it was a thing and it makes it more fun throughout the year. This is the type of information that I would hope they work on getting in front of all alumni at the minimum. It would be fun if one of the media outlets/RJ, SUN advertised it... or called out the valley...businesses to make a pledge. I love the option to double it for the Reno game!

Football Pledge Per

Support Rebel Football by making a pledge today!
UNLV Athletics is proud to announce that pledge per will be returning for the 2024-25 UNLV Athletics season!
How it works:
  • Choose an amount to pledge per win and/or touchdown. For reference, UNLV Football won 9 games and scored 58 touchdowns in the 2023 season.
  • Select the pledge per option win and/or sport-specific statistic (touchdowns).
  • At the bottom of the screen you can choose to double your pledge for the rivalry game against University of Nevada, Reno!
  • Cheer on your Rebels while making an impact!
Upon checkout, you will be charged for the amount pledged to retain your card on file. The remainder of your pledge will be charged after the completion of the Rebel’s football season and will be based on total wins and/or touchdowns scored by your Rebels. Your pledge will include all regular season and post-season games.
Pledge Amount x Wins and/or Touchdowns Scored = Total Gift Amount.
If you would prefer to make a one-time donation, you can give HERE.
All pledge donations go directly to football's support fund.

I was thinking about this stuff the other day as well. There has to be some creative ways to get local businesses and families more involved. I saw that Boise partnered with a brewery in Boise that said they'll pay 10 cents per every pint sold. They're hoping to sell 10,000 cases in the first year, which would work out to being $24,000 the first year. That's not some huge amount, but it would be good marketing for the brewery and help out with the school.

Another way might be to have some auctions of game worn and signed apparel from the different sports.

What other ideas are there for raising money for the program?

Great ideas-
I think the more Ws that are stacked- the more willing business are to engage in something like that.

It made me think too - With the Circa $100k offer out of the blue. Is the university being proactive on that? If UNLV came to all the casinos and asked them for a specific pledge. … I’m sure something like that is going on… I HOPE it is.

I would think so. I think that reagan on here commented that he was already supporting UNLV, but IDK. But even aside from the giant donors, the beer thing like Boise is doing would be a way to engage small businesses. Hopefully they have a marketing team or group working on ways to do so.

I'm glad you guys are talking about this. I will send in a donation this week to football. If we want to keep Odom and we want keep this football ride going for many years we have to do this. As individuals, businesses, and the community we need to get serious about supporting this great coach and team.

I would have interest in getting a UNLV helmet signed by Odom. I wonder if it wouldn't be a bad idea to look at a way to set a price to buy signed helmets as a fund raiser either for the team or individual players?

I don't know for sure but, getting a player to sign apparel and such wouldn't that be NIL? The Odom helmet is a solid idea.
