I don't know that it will come into play soon or at all.
I was told that the best long distance shooting touch, by far, on this squad was by.... Cheikna Dembele. It's a set shot but it's automatic from deep. I know, I know, it doesn't fit the picture at all. I mean, I couldn't argue because I don't actually know, but logic told me no possible way. But this guy knows his basketball and says his mechanics are flawless and his shot is the same. It's fluid, it's effortless, it is a set shot (but he's 6-10 plus), and each shot looks exactly the same and he hits a high percentage.
Now I know there's game time and practice... I've seen Kas and Amundson hit 20 in a row from deep, but I don't want them shooting it during a game. But this guy swears by his shot, says without the injury, he thinks done by sophomore year. As is, pro by junior.
Disclosure, this guy is a basketball fan - yeah, he's a UNLV fan but more of a basketball guy than UNLV guy. He was adamant about all this.
