Did we drop the ball once again.

Maybe it’s just me, but that’s the Big West and you play peers all season long. You don’t play tough teams, you don’t play contenders. Even in OOC. So while you may be a very good conference team, when the conference is that weak, it probably translates to a very mediocre national team, at very best. I mean, if that’s what people really want then UNLV should drop football and try to get in the Big West or Big Sky; last years team, this year’s team - you’re going to probably win it or at least compete for it and you will get that 15 or 16 seed and lose by 20 in the first round.

I don’t think that’s what our fans want.

Yeah, Tark did it but talk about an insanely unique thing. Had Tark not carried the stigma with the NCAA, he wouldn’t have been at UNLV after 1977, if not before then; he’d have been blueblood bound. He was a great coach, fantastic coach, that was smeared and untouchable by most schools. When you look back at UNLV history, it’s pretty evident that Tark was lightning in a bottle, a perfect fluke for us. Without Tark’s tenure at UNLV, when you think about it, we are probably SJSU or Pacific or maybe Colorado State if you want to be generous.

Opps meant to put this on the Tark board. He is getting talent and coaching them up. Not expecting top 10. Doing a much much better job in the same amount of time or less. Would get more Talent in the MWC compared to the Big West. Plus looks like ge can coach a little bit.
