The bottom five, eh, they’re all so bad so it’s hard to predict the order other than SJSU on the bottom.
I think the only wins in conference the bottom five get are against each other with one or two slip ups from the top (and those will prove to be critical losses).

1. UNLV
2. UNR
3. SDSU
4. FSU
5. Boise
6. CSU
7-11 Garbage.

Wouldn't it be great if the Rebels are in a position to clinch the league title at home, on senior night, against UNR? That would be a "rush the court" kind of win!

UNLV should cut through this conference like a hot knife cut through butter.
No, UNLV fans should never rush anybody in this conference. You can rush the court when we win the MWCT. I dont care if we play SJSU for the MWCT, it is righteous to rush after we win it.

Absolutely true! But I’d go one step further. We should not be rushing the court against anyone. Even if it’s to win the MW Tourney. We’ve been wallowing around the middle-to-bottom of this league for too many years. It’s time we resume our rightful place as the best of the Mountain West. That shouldn’t evoke any court-rushing. We should look like we belong.

The only legitimate time to storm the floor, in my opinion, is if we knock off one of the true heavy-weights in college hoops. Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Kansas maybe UCLA just because they’re dicks. Other than that, to borrow a slogan from Marshall,We are UNLV! One of the storied programs in College Basketball history. Other schools should be rushing the floor when they beat us.

I know, I’m living in the past, but that’s exactly where I choose to live. Tark built a giant in the desert, and it’s our duty, and our responsibility to return the Runnin’ Rebels to their rightful place among the great programs in the country.

I have no clue lol. I always need to see a few games before I get a much better idea of where the teams are at. In the past it was in conference play when we really started to figure out if the team was for real or not.

I get the whole "act like you've been there before" and I feel like the Rebels should win the conference every year but the last time UNLV won a regular season conference championship was in 2000. Any current student certainly doesn't remember that. If the Rebels start winning it regularly again then it will be more of an expectation. If they win the regular season conference championship this year I will be very excited and, I may be the only one, but if our conference record is 14-3 and in first place and UNR is 13-4 and in second place, and we beat them at home to clinch the title, I am running onto the floor to celebrate and to rub it into UNR's face.

Easy now, boys and girls. Before we rush the court, let's please beat BSU this Saturday. Laser focus on the next game, one game at a time. Didn't our hiring fiasco begin two years ago when UNLV lost its first two conference games.

Confidence is good but every team in this conference loves to beat UNLV which still has some cachet from the glory days. Go Rebels.

Don’t get me wrong. If the Rebels win the conference championship, I’ll be over the moon. But I’ll be watching you rush the court. I was here since the very first Final Four in ’77. I fell in love with the “Hardway Eight”, as they put up astronomical scores before there was a 3-point shot or a shot-clock.. And I was here for the other three Final Fours in the late-eighties, including the National Championship. Those are the Runnin’ Rebels I root for. I root for the Rebels of Eddie Owens and Glen Gondrezick, of Freddy Banks and Armon Gilliam. And, of course, all of the Rebels of ’90 and ’91.

I’m not completely delusional. I get that we have fallen a long way down from Tark’s Rebels, but I’ll never forget them. We owe it to their contributions to carry on the tradition that they established. And as long as I’m around, I’ll do my best to ensure that those students you’re citing, are fully educated in the stellar legacy that their school carries. It should never be forgotten.

If we permit those memories to fade, then we allow Maxson and Frinfrock and Steve Wynn to succeed. And that must never happen!

We’re still unproven as a road time unfortunately. Will be interesting to see how this team does on the road.

Fans don’t need laser focus.

The team does.

We can put the cart before the horse. The team can’t.
