Coaches in their 60's

There is no virtually no coach who is moving through the ranks who will stay if they are successful. They will say they will stay. They will say they love the town. But if they have success they will bolt faster than a coyote after a rabbit. The only possible ( even here no guarantees) exception to this is a coach who wants to finish a career. We should look at coaches in the mid fifties and older who want to show they can still coach but who also don't want be in the P4 pressure cooker.

That’s not a bad thought … but you still have to get it right. Spoon just wanted to extend to his retirement with stability, didn’t elevate he. Robinson wanted one last gap filler … he did elevate us …

So you do have to guard against somebody who has been there, done that and doesn’t have the fire …

I think it would have made for a shorter sentence if you just said I want Gary Patterson ;)
 
Some can just fine like Cignetti at Indiana. Just has to be the right guy. Most are really fully invested though and are just looking to extend their career a bit.
