#44 with B1G money is ass. It’ll be interesting to see how it goes over there. I don’t think it will work out too well, tough gig imo.We are sitting at #64 in the 24/7 rankings with 16 transfers. Purdue is at #44 with the same level of talent but with 26 transfers. Does that mean we aren't done moving up yet? I think we should wind up top 50.
I have to agree, lots of talent coming in and these guys are hopefully hungry to prove themselves to be looked at in the nfl or get a big bag in the p4. Either way I don’t mind, motivation is good.Odom's first class is nothing compare to this. It was his second class that bring all of the players like Grimes, Catalon, Cain, Doyle...Coach Mullen's class is even better than Coach Odom's second class thus far. We will see how it translates. I think this might be the most improved college football team in the country. That say something because UNLV won 11 games last year.
Where ia AAAAA insider!?!? DAN? Dan!?!?!? You here?Dan Mullen would like a word...
Before transferring to UTSA, he was previously at Texas A&M and LSU, but was suspended from both programs for off field issues. Hopefully he got his off field issues figured out.
Every player is different obviously. I'm hoping these retreads from the SEC will come in here with a chip on their shoulder and be motivated. They have all been in big time strength and conditioning program for several years and they have the tools. Some will go balls out and some will not. I'm hoping most of them will have pride in themselves and want to prove what they can do.I actually think it's more of guys no longer waiting for "their turn" like they used to where they'd sit for a few seasons behind someone at a SEC school. 4 star guys are transferring to schools where they can be that guy vs just another recruit.
We offer alot of playing time with a possible CFP team. It's an opportunity for them to play and that's why we're landing alot of P4 talent
This is a good point.Schools transferred in from = A
Actual production from recruits coming in = D
Mullen and staff have a big developing job. Was hoping for more plug & play guys with actual #s who'd want to seek playing time at a program capable of a playoff spot. Maybe those come in the Spring portal.
Interesting...absolute stud at LSU then last year could only get two starts at UTSA? Worth taking a chance on anyway.
I was kind of hoping for more of a mix anyway. But they did get some good high ceiling prospects especially at the WR spot. But would prefer a few more guys that put up some numbers but want more PT.Schools transferred in from = A

A lot of these SEC commits remind me of Rayshad Jackson, who we got out of Florida. He definitely stood out with a bigger body than the rest of our guys. He produced as well.Every player is different obviously. I'm hoping these retreads from the SEC will come in here with a chip on their shoulder and be motivated. Did you see the new proposal that they're talking about for the portal? They're talking about doing away with the spring one, and only having the portal open once per year. That would change things and probably make teams and players more selective, knowing that once you commit, it's a lock for the year at leastThis is a good point.
I expect to see some movement in bith directs after spring.
Players will see their pecking order and some will change their minds. In fact I halfway expect one of our new QBs leaves after spring
I don’t know… between graduation, transfers, and high school commitments who backed out we lost a TON. So taking some fliers on some guys is easily worth it imho.Schools transferred in from = A

I wonder how would it work if you're graduating in the spring? Do you announce in the winter and then punch out your degree in the spring to join your new team by summer?Did you see the new proposal that they're talking about for the portal? If they move the portal window, it needs to be after bowl season. Maybe only summer portal transfers if they are worried about the academic side.Did you see the new proposal that they're talking about for the portal? According to this article, they're talking about a single window from January 2-12.If they move the portal window, it needs to be after bowl season. Maybe only summer portal transfers if they are worried about the academic side.
I think we signed a bunch of has beens from better conferences.
They knew that they weren’t gonna be able to compete for their jobs. So they high tail it to UNLV.

I trust the coach knows what he’s doing.
I get upset when my girl flipped.I never get too upset about HS guys that get poached or flipped last minute. Sucks, but you can't really miss what you never had either.
IDK, I’m still kind of pissed about the Devin Lloyd thing.I never get too upset about HS guys that get poached or flipped last minute. Sucks, but you can't really miss what you never had either.
In conjunction with a shorter and later transfer window, they should really add an extra year of eligibility to all players. Get rid of the graduate transfer rule.I wonder how would it work if you're graduating in the spring? Do you announce in the winter and then punch out your degree in the spring to join your new team by summer?
Only played in 5 games this year. Solid contributor the previous two years. ??
Dan Mullen, is giving these guy's with limited playtime at their previous school, a second chance and hopes of more playing time.Only played in 5 games this year. Solid contributor the previous two years. ??
The great fantasy of all guys is two girls and one guy, you are half way there! You guys are pretty sick to think that way, though.
NFL Free agency on steroids.According to this article, they're talking about a single window from January 2-12.
FBS coaches back single, shorter transfer window
Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) coaches voted unanimously Tuesday in favor of a proposal that would reduce college football's transfer windows down to a single 10-day period in January.www.espn.com

Camac was a Rebel. Those HS prospects aren’t. Losing good Rebels hurt. Rather than NiL, we should set it up like how Ohtani did with his MLB contract. If you perform well, you get pay on a sliding scale that goes up with a bonus if you punch out your degree(s) on the backend.I totally get it. I just try not to get overly worked up about HS prospects. I get more frustrated losing guys in the portal like Camac who have produced vs dudes that never made it to Spring practice.
