There’s weed everywhere though. That kid needs to get as far away from Vegas as he can!

60 ish in a 35 ish..
complete jack ass move on marijuana. He killed a guy too.
He headlines UNLV. He’d be a star.
88mph in a 35mph residential zone.....
This kid should not be rewarded for his selfish actions. He destroyed a family. He killed a father.
Even if there wasn’t weed in the car, what’s the actual excuse? There isn’t one. He had to comply with the law to get his drivers license, so he fully knowingly broke the law when he killed that man.
If he somehow manages to beat criminal charges then he can hit the juco circuit or maybe sign for a Belarusian basement league club.
besides, playing for unlv would give so much ammo to all opposing student sections it would be a massive distraction to the team. Best to say smell ya later and let this kid find his own path.
I think there was some glimmer of hope when a grand jury declined to indict him on the dui charge. They didn’t believe marijuana played a factor. I don’t think he beats a reckless driving charge though. I would be surprised if he didn’t do any time at all.how does he stay out of jail? you kill someone while intoxicated you get 5 to 10 how does he avoid that?

He went to Gorman and hired the best attorney in town for DUI. That attorney is also best friends with the DA Steve Wolfson. Someone is paying for his attorney. Certainly not his parents. My guess would be a Gorman alum with money.how does he stay out of jail? you kill someone while intoxicated you get 5 to 10 how does he avoid that?
Just to make this note: pro bono, at least at the beginning. He went to Gorman and hired the best attorney in town for DUI. That attorney is also best friends with the DA Steve Wolfson. Someone is paying for his attorney. Certainly not his parents. My guess would be a Gorman alum with money.

I can't find an instance where a school offered a players who had this type of potential record. Nothing involving a death.Just to make this note: pro bono, at least at the beginning.
You're not wrong though. He may end up skirting time in prison, but he also may ending up serving a minimal sentence. Since he was OR'd without being considered a flight risk, I think we basically know he only served whatever couple of days in the tank at CCDC until his initial appearance.
That said, I don't think UNLV can consider offering him a scholarship to play basketball, or even letting him walk on. He could go elsewhere and be offered without the kind of headache he would cause here.
For instance... Iona?
Unlv would be the first.I can't find an instance where a school offered a players who had this type of potential record. Nothing involving a death.
I agree. I dont actually think he has a prayer of playing ball in college. I wouldn't be overly shocked if he got an opportunity far away from here though.I can't find an instance where a school offered a players who had this type of potential record. Nothing involving a death.
