3. No-vada (2-6)

The Oof Pack continues to fall through these rankings like my credit rating whenever I visit the state of Nevada. They've now lost six straight, including back-to-back losses to then-top/bottom two Bottom 10 opponents. Reno casinos don't have windows so that patrons lose track of time, and it indeed seems like an eternity since Nevada opened the season with a win over New Mexico State. Speaking of the Other Aggies ...

The last 3 weeks we’ve played like that should be our spot! Atrocious football for a third year coach.

Unfortunately, we don't really have the depth to withstand the number of injuries to key players that we've had. That said, losing one-on-one battles because the other guy is just better is one thing, but mental mistakes - which includes drops - is another.

If UNLV faces UNR at 5-6 and drops that game, I have a hard time picturing anybody calling it a successful season.

At season’s beginning, if you said UNLV would finish 5-7, people would argue back and forth whether it was a decent season and both sides would have merit. But not losing out on bowl eligibility with a game vs Reno to end things. I’m sure the Reno coach would love to see UNLV at 5-6 …

UNR will come into that game on a 9 game losing streak. I don’t think Reno has ever had a football team this bad. CMA should be fired immediately if we lose to UNR this year.
